Illiterate tech fag here, I'm in need of a new laptop, with at least an i7 core processor and some sort of graphics card for the simplistic PC games I play.
Anyway, I was thinking of getting an Ideapad 300, however I'm not sure how good it's graphic card is / if I should get something else for around the same price. Thoughts?

Don't usually recommend Acer, but for your price range (500$) this probably would be the best PC.
>GTX 940MX
>8GB DDR4
>1080p screen
>256GB ssd
The only thing that doesn't meet your requirements is it having an i5 6200u, which assuming you want a duel core i7. You won't really notice a difference that much in gaming.
Acer Aspire E 15, 15.6 Full HD, Intel Core i5, NVIDIA 940MX, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, Windows 10, E5-575G-53VG https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DT4A2R4/

This. The main thing to worry about is getting a laptop with an SSD and 8GB RAM. I see no reason to use an i7 if it's just for simple games, especially because there isn't much difference between i5 and i7.
Here are some sites to quickly search for laptops, not all of your options are listed tho, and laptopmag sometimes has inaccurate prices/specs so double check everything.
