if gpus compute faster than cpus like this rx 480 by Amd which computes faster than any other technology, why dont they only use gpus on motherboards instead of slow intel cpus? i just dont understand.

They do different kinds of computing. GPUs have a huge number of weaker specialised cores, as opposed to CPUs that have a small number of general purpose and powerful cores. Writing software that can run on a GPU is generally more complicated.
