Hello. I'm only starting to get into private trackers, and I have a question. Let's pretend that I have downloaded an untouched blu-ray of a film from an open tracker like TPB. Now let's pretend I join a private tracker and I have to improve my ratio. What if this private tracker has that same untouched blu-ray of that same film with that same size, so it is literally the same file. What if I download torrent file, but link it to the existing folder. The file will then go on re-check and will start seeding without downloading anything. So I will be able to start seeding instantly what I already have, without downloading anything. My question is if it is allowed and will not result in a ban.
I also have another question. I love collecting films with a quality of untouched blu-ray folder. My favorite films come from 1920s-1960s mostly, usually it is a Criterion blu-ray release. I managed to get some of what I'm looking for from open trackers, but the other half is still in shitty quality. I have several separate hard drives specifically to store high quality films. I'm looking for a final collection of about 6-10 TB. I'm still not in a single private tracker, and only recently learned about them, and willing to try to join them. My question is, what trackers should be my goal, considering what I need? I'm thinking HDB and PTP should be the best for my needs. And another more important question is what would be the best route for me? Where do I start? From what I've read on wiki page What.CD seems to be the best and shortest route, the problem is I'm not interested in music. Of course I can and will, if that's the best route, improve my ratio on What to get to other trackers, but am I going to be asked about my preferences and tastes? Because if that happens it will become obvious I did it only to climb and am not interested in music at all.

Apparently I'm a fucking retard. Can't seem to get my client set up to work with What. I'm using deluge 1.3.12 in daemon mode. Everything is set to unlimited besides global up and down and global stop seeding when ratio gets to 2.0. Doing the "Test active port" gives me a green light, as I've done all the necessary firewall exceptions and forwarded the ports I use.
It's not that What is just hard to upload on, it's that I CAN'T upload. I tested it. I put up a new CD and I have it seeding on my home server. Then I try to grab it on my laptop. Like if you get banned from BTN for doing bullshit, you basically need to sign up for a new what.cd account, then a PTP account and then hope that by the time you're done with that the BTN is still recruiting.

I'm trying to archive the discography of Exit Tunes Inc. (weeb music basically) and I've had very little luck finding flac+cue versions on public sources. Are any private trackers worth a look for something like this? (I couldn't tell from the OP links)
