My biggest issue with the EU is how similar it is to the US yet how much closer lobbying power is to the system in the former.
The US is effectively an oligarchy, which makes me wonder how long until the EU surpasses that point.

Sure there are fuckloads of them and they try very hard but seeing the actual laws, they don't seem to be doing a very good job. Hell, the article itself proves it. The most negative factor besides US was the UK ironically, lobbying for shale gas and vetting bank regulations.
