Wooptidoo, we've had affordable midrange cards that do well on 1080p for over two years now
The only thing the 480 adds is that it's even cheaper.
The thing that gets me about this card is that it just seems AMD is still miles behind Nvidia with their architecture.
The card pulls as much power as a 1070 but is vastly inferior in terms of performance.
The overclocking headroom is nonexistant just like with fiji.
AMD only now manages to reach a level of performance per watt that Maxwell already had 2 years ago on a much larger process node (28nm vs 14nm).
This card is good because it's cheap, that's it.
But if you look a bit further it does not mask the fact that Nvidia has the technologically superior product
