Looking for an 8gb kit.

The current setup is:
>i5-4670 (DDR3-1333/1600, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.5V)
>Asus H87ME (maximum transfer rate of DDR3 1600 Mhz)
>HyperX Genesis KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX (http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/khx1600c9d3k2_8gx.pdf)
Only one stick now since the other one seems to be dead/malfunctioning.
It apparently ran 1600 9-9-9-27 @1.65V.
>The mounting mechanism for cpu cooler leaves almost no wiggle room between its latch and first ram stick, so I can't get ram with a wide heatsink. There is no limit on ram height though.

Currently easily available options are:
>Hyperx Fury HX318C10FBK2/8 (http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX318C10FBK2_8.pdf)
If I'm interpreting this right it'd run on 1600 CL9-10-9 @1.5V (even though it is capable of 1866 CL10-11-10 @1.5V)

>Hyperx Fury HX316C10FK2/8 (http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX316C10FK2_8.PDF)
Should run 1600 CL10-10-10 @1.5V (at its max capability)

Now I can't help but notice the higher clock capable one has worse TRCD, but does that matter, since they both have higher CL, TRCD and TRP than the Genesis (not sure about TRAS as it's omitted in the newer models' spec sheet). (sourced from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_timings)

I might be able to get my mitts on BallistiX or Corsair stuff but I still didn't have a chance to do research (perf and availability).

What do you /g/ents think?

Just get JEDEC-spec sticks from a reputable vendor.

Factory memory is a waste of time unless you are going for an aggressive CPU overclocking.

factory overclocked memory*

Sorry don't know much about ram (except for reading spec sheets) what's a jedec-spec ram?

So I guess just buy whatever?

Another question, does it matter how I slot in the ram?
Pic related is a relevant crop from motherboard's user manual - it never explicitly states how to insert the ram for all possible cases, but the image shows a dual-channel config going to A2&B2.
However my ram was slotted in A1&B1. Does this matter?
I guess the 1 and 2 stand for channel number, so as long as sticks are in the same channel it doesn't matter whether it's channel 1 or 2?
If I were to plug them in A1&A2 they would act like single channel ram?

Also if I get RMA on old ram kit, can I slot them in too, so I have one channel with new ram and one with old? I think it's ok since it's dual channel, if it were quad channel though it would probably not work, right?
Or would the different timings make it a no-go for dual-channel aswell?
