UDF is the perfect format for flash drives

- Simple single-user file system like FAT
- Unencumbered by patents
- Unicode
- Supports large files

What do I use when I want my PC and my Mac to read the same thumb drive?

NTFS

what the fuck is NTFS?

So what? Just split your BD porn rips into multiple files.
>>
>>55330699
ive literally never seen a 4gb file except when experimenting with pagefiles
>>
exFAT you fucking mongs
>>
>>55330668
It's limited to 4GB for file size but considering things like yify rips won't exceed 2GB then it's not really a problem for most things.

Anyway people should use exFAT or NTFS just to be safe.

It doesn't take that much effort to get fuckhueg files like that.

I'm curious what does this meme file system have that NTFS and exFAT don't? Beside massive incompatibility with most things.

I've lost data twice with this POS.

Well freetards could not come up with a better alternative so now even mSD cards use exFAT. Deal with it.

UDF.

Don't they still use FAT for UEFI?

That's one reason I stick to MBR.

i didn't hear ur wife complaining about my fat 3.2''

Yes, because it is pretty much the only filesystem with universal support.

Oh goddammit
>>
>>55330403
nope, using btrfs, zfs and xfs exclusively
>>
>>55330741
Not as universally supported as FAT32. That's the only real reason to use it. If compability isn't an issue there's better choices than exFAT.
>>
>>55331020
Nobody downloads 1TB blu-ray muxes on their phones and 1080p YIFY rips look good enough on your 5-6" phone screen.

Then why do microSD cards above 32GB come with it?
>>
>>55331042
Well if it's for a phone I really don't have an issue with it. YIFY sounds fine for that.
>>
>>55331057
Samsung phones come with CM cleaning app but that doesn't mean it's the best app for that.

Why they went with that particular file system, probably compability. If I'd have to guess. But I was saying that if you don't have to consider that aspect, there are better alternatives. But it's something those memory card manufacturers do have to consider.

yiff in hell furfags

People are way more familiar with FAT derivatives. Anyway why the fuck do you care what filesystem comes with a mSD by default?
