Should I upgrade my 780ti to a 1080, or should I spend the money on a new g-sync monitor (I have a cheapo 60hz asus one atm) and wait for the 1080ti?

Get a 144hz monitor.
Why does faris have a fucked up face?
Wait on both.
Wait for the 1080ti and wait for the next generation of monitors that take advantage of the new DP/HDMI specs.
Unless you have some disposable income, then by all means get a g-sync monitor.

Hmmm, so it be wise to just save up and then buy both at the same time? I already have $600 set aside for new computer parts, but I don't mind waiting it the upgrade is worth it. I usually buy parts that'll last me a good while.

Hardware is like an endless wait loop()
You can wait for the next best thing, or settle on the current best thing and have hardware that ages.
In short; wait, or don't. Pick one.
I would go AMD to be frank, family
