Back story: found this site while searching for airplanes produced in Africa.
I dunno anything about Ghana, if this guy is really a big deal or not--but this website approaches a level of comedy that very few people on the planet can regularly do intentionally.
Facts (mostly from other sources):
1. He didn't invent those cars, they're made by an Indian company. They say on THEIR website that the deal is to explore African markets, and he is allowed to buy up to 10 (ten) un-assembeled cars per year. Another source estimates he can assemble 2-4 vehicles per year.
2. The tracked excavator is Indian-made. The street paver is unverified, but prolly Indian too.
3. He didn't invent those airplanes. The newer ones he bought and the older ones are Soviet-era models, probably abandoned there by the Rooskies a long long time ago. The "Kantanka jet" has its wings clipped and a truck axle; another (old one) was shown with the whole cockpit interior [seats, panel, controls] stripped out.
4. The toilet video is fun.... (One source claims that less than 3% of the country has running water in their homes)
5. The armored car is nice too. And the robot one, "automated street sweeper with rocket launcher"... Really, they all are.
It's changed a bit since I saw it last, mebbe a year ago. Looks like there's more car shit now.
I browse with Firefox and noscript and get no evil warnings, but ya never know.
