How come when I play at home on my i5 2400 and gtx 680(1080p) i get 65-80 fps depending on the map, but according to tpu that's the same as a gtx 970 or r9 390, which should be quite a bit better than my old 680?

Hell, I have a friend with a gtx960 who gets slightly lower framerates than me with his gtx960 and i5 4460, even though this is showing the 960 at only 50fps.
maybe your settings are lower?

We're both on ultra settings though.
I remember being surprised when I got the game, but I passed it off as driver and game updates improving performance since I bought it well after launch.
Not so sure now...
Bump, I'm genuinely curious.
Anyone else got any input or wanna share their average framerate?

Hello friend, it appears that your post doesn't comply the /g/-approved way of believing every technology news article and benchmark.
Please reapply your way of thinking to the obey way again.
Mods, you are free to delete this thread and replace it with a AMD vs. Intel thread.
Might be due to their measurement (average FPS)
Might be due to drivers and when the tests were done. Could be reference cards vs OC cards. Could be a lot of things.
