Where's the cheapest place to get a Windows 10 key from?
I don't think I can do the free upgrade, because my Windows 7 isn't legit and I want a fresh install, not an upgrade.

I downloaded 7, used an activator for that, then upgraded to 10. Because MS give you a new key for 10 my pirated 7 has become a legit 10.
The windows 10 upgrade key is independent of your win7 installation, you'll be given a separate key for it by Microsoft, don't worry about it.
People on this subchan always recommend just pirating 7/8 and upgrading to 10 if you really need to use 10.

If you want Windows 10 and have Windows 7 (either genuine or not):
Step 1: Upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 by clicking the button in the nagging window telling you to upgrade
>Step 1.5: Wait for the upgrade to complete and then log into Windows 10
Step 2: Use ProduKey to extract your Windows 10 key (remember that this is not a licence, just a key that works on THIS specific computer)
Step 3: Write down your key somewhere (not on the computer tho, this should be a given)
Step 4: Use Microsoft's Media Creation Tool to make a Windows 10 bootable DVD
Step 5: Reformat and install Windows 10 using the DVD from Media Creation Tool
You now have a fresh Windows 10 install that works 100% and is genuine.
