I water cooled my last 980ti and now I can't go back to air cooling my GPU. please red pill me on why gaming above 65c with slight fan noise isn't so bad.

Use a custom fan curve. My gtx680 windforce doesn't even get to 60 degrees when it's blowing at 45% and I can't hear it because it's almost 1m from where I sit.
It's not ok at all. Why do you think the best GPU of the past generation was exclusively available with water cooling?
I seriously hope Nvidia takes note and makes the change with the 1080Ti.
