No one's breaking up Microsoft because there's no alternative to Windows. They sell it for $100, the same as they always have, and give it away practically for free with a new OEM PC. If they started charging $100 for "Basic Edition" giving you access to 1 core and 512MB RAM needing an upgrade to $499 "Standard" for 2 cores and 2GB, someone would take a look. But as it stands their practices aren't illegal.
