So I just picked up one of the review copies today and I am warning you that the RX480 is the worst card I have ever tested.
On air at max it sometimes hits a 96 degree spike when running 2160p benchmarks.
The card crashes mid game about any AAA 2016 game I throw at it.
The 4k performance is nonexistent
The card doesn't even outperform a 970, even a 960 can destroy it in benchmarks
GTA V ULTRA 1080p
480: 37fps
960: 45fps
970: 78fps
This also doesn't play nice with my oculus and there is massive stuttering in every game

OC 970 = nearly 980 = over 390X levels.
The card was said from the beginning to have performance between 390 and Fury, depending on game (games that benefit from higher memory bandwidth will run better on the 390, other games on the 480).
As far as I can tell, all of that still holds true.
For a $200 card that kicks ass. And I can just slap on the Scythe cooler from my old gpu, so temperature problems don't matter either.
