For that LibreOffice is fine. I find the LibreBase to be unusable though, but if you don't need it, everything eelse seems fine. UI is pretty too, imo
Oh, I knew it was a tangled story, though not entirely sure. AFAIK Open Office is no longer maintained.
When I really have to work on docs and spreadsheets I just use Google Docs nowadays.
