I don't know if that's the right place to post, but here's the thing:
I'm on windows 8, do I need to upgrade to w8.1 in order to upgrade to w10 ?
I tried to go to w10 but I keep getting error 0xc7700112

no, if you access msn.com you'll get a prompt to install windows 10 directly. it'll download the installer and joy can jump right from 8 to 10.
