2) Hoping to upgrade from a 7970 Ghz. This card is loud as fuck and really struggles to play modern games on high settings. I can't even get Witcher 3 at a stable 30 FPS 1080p on high. I won't be playing at higher resolutions, so if this thing can play modern games like W3 at max 1080 at a reasonable FPS, I'll be getting it.

Official benchmarks from a Polish gaming magazine that's just got of the press. RX480 is slightly, and I say slightly slower than one one the highest factory oc'd 970's, which matches stock 980 out of box. Not great, but not bad. Please disregard the FireStrike Extreme typo.
