What do you use, /g/?
Anyone recommending DDG is ignorant.

Searx.
DDG can use Google btw. Just add g! before the first word.
Why not use Google and problem solved. No need to be hipstery.
I use startpage. It does everything I need it to do, which means I type in what I'm looking for and get relevant results.
searx.me works like a charm for me, results are more or less good
>>55283121
Ddg results dropped in quality significantly in the past month or so. I find myself forced to fallback to ixquick or plain google more and more.
Is this due to yahoo shutting down BOSS?
DuckDuckgo is a cool idea and I like the bangs (!g, !yt, ...) but not so sure about the privacy indeed.

Found the functional ignoralis.
>>55283311
You do know that Google, Microsoft and all those big companies already posses your data, right?
>>55283165

Have you guys been having any problems with Searx recently? I've had times in the past few days when I search something and get mostly bullshit unrelated results then run my search through Google/Yahoo/Bing and get relevant results. This is really weird since the only search engines I have it set to run through are Google, Bing, and Yahoo.
>>55283221
what has /g/ become
>>55283344
havent been around my pc for a week or so but that doesn't sound familiar to me
>>55283344
>>55283369
Think something strange might be going on with Bing/Yahoo, I took them off the list and suddenly got completely relevant results.
>>55283246
Just use the g! bang.
>>55283289
This.
>>55283344
Yahoo related AFAIK.
>>55283121
None of them. Use searx. The only search engine which actually delivers source code instead of "promises".
>>55283461
MODS
started seeing the yahoo logo in my ddg results.
>>55283121
ddg got me
the bangs are too useful
Searx looks awesome. Should've checked it out before.
If you use ddg you might as well just use google.
>>55283121
>>fast, but bad results
The results aren't so bad, I find them sometimes even better than google
>google something about a prduct
>first 10 results are from shops selling said product
>use duckduckgo
>actually has the manufacturer's prduct page in the top results
>>55283341
(You)
https://lite.qwant.com/
>>55283775
I use qwant in my searx sources. Qwant and swisscows give pretty good results.
Google because I'm not a tinfoil neckbeard speglord who have something to hide
Save yourself the trouble and just use https://encrypted.google.com you freaking autists.
>>55284252
tip top bait
>>55284295
Why exactly do you think people are using Google alternatives?
I have my browser search set to DDG so I can use the bangs. DDG's search results themselves are awful.
>>55284477
>muh bangs
you don't need cuckcuckgoy for them, retard
>>55284295
>https://encrypted.google.com you freaking autists
>autists
Startpage is Dutch. A country without decryption orders.
Duckduckgo is American. Country of prism.
I just use DDG. Tried ixquick and disconnect.me. But I like the audio web results of DDG most of the time.

Duckcuckgo since Google doesn't give me relevant results anymore. All I get are edgy news articles instead of informational pages. Sad life I miss when Google results were on point, even with verbatim turned on
>>55283121
>>55283221
Just go
Startpage results are unfortunately often useless. DDG is OK, and a good alternative.
>>55283121
I'm using Qwant. It's french and supposely secure. But it's a bit too slow for my taste sometimes
