You dont honestly believe that a fan is going to run just as effectively whether its completely unobstructed or 80% covered with wires.
If all your fans are 80% covered with wires, then they aren't going to cool as effectively, ergo your parts will run at higher temps, and many chips will throttle at lower clock speeds due to heat.
Lets say you have absolutely shit cable management, and your mouse cable has only 5-6" of untangled cable, that mouse is going to perform shitty compared to a mouse that can move freely.
Lets say for a moment that your pc is filled with components but all the cables are plugged into the wrong ports, in that case bad cable management has rendered the whole system useless
If you buy a PSU with the correct wattage then you will need all cables provided by it making cable management fully pointless.
