Hey /g/ it's my first time buying a processor and I've settled with the i5 6500, I'm wondering if it comes with a tube of thermal paste or at least it pre-applied.

The cooler comes with a little on it.
Get some anyway though, it's useful, even if it's just the cheapest shit you can find.

no need for new thermal paste
there is enough on stock cooler and it seems to be
high quality paste

You should lap the CPU and heatsink. Remove the lid and add replace thermal paste.
