I am trying to create a hangman game for practice and I cant remember how to use my counter variable ( int i ) in my for loop to effect my labels.
For example, I have 7 empty label boxes (The maximum number of letters in the words which are randomly chosen). I want my for loop to check the length of the string which is chosen and for every letter less than the max make a label box not visible.
So If it picks the turtle which is 5 letters I want it to make 2 labels not visible.

I'm using a TV as my monitor right now to save the money on a new monitor.
Problem is, when launching most games in fullscreen, the TV actually automatically changes the picture mode from Standard to Vivid. Vivid meaning "just fuck my eyes up thanks contrast."
Normally this wouldn't be an issue, I change it back to standard with the TV remote.
But then after about 2-3 minutes, the screen flashes black and suddenly it's set back to vivid again.

In Windows and xinput, how do I select which controller is player 1 and which is player 2? Is there a program that can help me do this?
I have an X360 controller which I hacked into a arcade stick. I also have an Xbone controller. The arcade stick doesn't have analog sticks, so I only use it for arcade games and fighting games.
When I open up a game that requires analog sticks, I would like to be able to route the Xbone controller to player 1. I just got a game that just refuses to see the Xbone controller unless I unplug my arcade stick, which is kind of annoying.

i recently built this PC, i3-6300 mATX build, and i wanted to see what the on chip graphics was like. it's actually really good! haven't done much, but it runs portal 2 and WoW almost as good as my previous system which had 2 4870s. seems to maybe look a bit better in portal 2 as well? overall i was really impressed. the cpu fan (stock) doesn't even kick up at all.

Is there a way to use a Windows computer as a terminal for a server? What I mean is, have Windows installed on my desktop machine, (for games, video editing, etc) and then full screen a Linux vm on my server for literally everything else?
Or really in general is there a more convenient way to run Windows without dual booting? The other day when i put in another HDD fan i used one of the molex cables which came straight from the DVD drive (ie there were two molex cables within a single cable line) as a power source and now i'm a bit concerned that maybe the PSU doesn't reach/recognize the fan because of that because it might have a defect or something, however the hdd temps did go down noticeably even though this could also be because i got the dust off of and repositioned it for better airflow

Set a custom fan profile for the gpu. Make it so it's fans ramp up faster. You shouldn't be getting insane temps. I have an R5 and came from the NZXT s340. Temps only went up 3C under load.
