If you use your PC for le vidya, then no. Current games don't give a shit about your RAM, only your VRAM. Even some games like GTA5 or DOOM won't let you go for the highest settings if you don't have over 4GB of VRAM, no matter if you have 1TB of regular RAM.

If you use your PC for heavy software (like autocad, arcGIS, blender and whatnot) maybe a couple more modules can be useful.
