I ran stable. The version of NetworkManager in stable has a bug where it crashes if you try to load an .ovpn config file. Grabbed an updated version from backports. That bug is fixed. Great!

Then I find out that my VPN silently disconnects itself every five minutes or so and I have no idea why. Presumably something from the updated version of NM and a few associated OVPN packages not playing nice.

Upgraded to testing despite hating rolling release. Now fixed. Backports, not even once
