I have one of those op and it is the best mouse Ive ever had, and Ive had several popular gamming mice over the years. Its high dpi yet very controllable optics tracking is what won me over. I like it so much I bought a spare in case they stop making it, as they tend to phase out products every couple of years

the G502 is very good. just a little to small for my hands. had to go from a palm grip to a figertip grip
>>
>Best

That shit is highly subjective seeing as everyone has different hands.

I use a Steelseries Rival. Shits comfy.
>>
>>55239611
True

I'm looking for

- comfort
- precise tracking
- durability

I don't need any gaymen buttons, led light or shit like that

I guess tracking would be the most important point
>>
>>55239646
Then the rival is great if you like mice heavily inspired by the old intellimouse. The rubber stuff on the sides will wear down, but that only makes it fit your thumb better.

Do you have big hands? I feel like I have average sized hands and palm grip works perfectly
>>
>>55239741
coming from a G700 which felt slightly better in my hands. Also heavier due to the battery so i'm also using all weights delivered with the G502.
Others say i have big hands. i think i have average ones...

>>55239611
biggest factor as most of the time. Best thing to do is visit your local electronics/PC-store and take some mice in your hands.
And read reviews online. Some may have issues you cant see first.
>>
>>55239945
Of course, but you should also keep in mind that your hand will usually require 1-2 weeks to get used to a vastly different form factor.

I'm using my G502 since 4 months now but sometimes fall back into old habits and take it in my whole hand. Then it feels like i'm strangulating it... like a bony GF. i'm afraid to break it.

Back2Topic... get your hands on it and test it.

G502

+ good sensor
+ many customizable buttons (with software, can save profiles on mouse. no software needed after configuration)
+ 4 way scroll-wheel, free roll function
+ braided, long cable

- gaymen optic
- tends to collect dirt
- loud main buttons (left/right)

+ - a little to small for (my) big hands
+ - mid to heavy weight ( + 5 x 3.5 gram weights you can use)

I used to have this. Eventually over a year it broke. Then I got an MMO 7. It wasn't without its series of glitches and problems. Shit was fucking heavy too.

Eventually decided to try a deathadder as it was lighter and apparently better for shooters which I've been playing more of lately.

It's fucking perfect. The movement. The weight. Not too jaggedy or ugly looking. My mouse is no longer a conversation piece. no glitches. I fucking hate Razr gayman shit but this is one good mouse.
>>
>>55239457
It's great, I've got setups for multiple games loaded in, and being able to switch from high to low DPI instantly makes sniping much more enjoyable. I play a lot of Arma so it's perfect for that.

What are "gaymen" buttons? Like the buttons on the side? Those are so incredibly useful I don't think I'll ever get a mouse without at least 2 side buttons. Even when browsing they're very nice to have since they map to forward/back by default.

>>
>>55239533
>>55239457

I have both the G303 and G502. G502 is unfortunately much nicer (I say unfortunately because.. well... just look at it). The g303 is not bad by any stretch, but the mouse feels flimsy, doesn't track as smoothly, click is less satisfying. Altogether just feels like a cheaper product. Matchin DPI-to-DPI, the G303 experiences poorer performance when clicking, specifically because the whole mouse shakes with moves the cursor slightly.
>>
>>55240257
Still using my deathadder2013 no problems. Maybe I'm just lucky. The texture on the grip can be a little slippery sometimes but otherwise 10/10 product. 9/10 because of the grip though.
>>
Had a g303 that lasted me years. Loved it. But it started to double-click all the time and I had to get a new one. Got the g502 now. I like it. It took some getting used to. And I'm still not a huge fan of the sensitivity button placement in comparison to the g303. But I like it. I doubt it will disappoint you.

Why the fuck is it symmetrical? Possibly the most expensive Logitech mouse in its category and yet less comfortable than mice 10x cheaper.
>>
>>55251779
Because it is comfortable
>>
>>55252720
The question was not "why does anyone like symmetrical mice?" or "will anyone share a positive experience with the design?", it was "why is this mouse symmetrical?".

Symmetry is not mutually inclusive with comfort. Individual hands are not symmetrical in any direction. You're arbitrarily conflating a personal experience/bias with a marketing decision.

If anything, comfort would be something it achieves IN SPITE of the design, rather than as a result of it.

The only advantage to the symmetry is that "left-handed" people won't avoid it. But left-handed people are a small group within the already small group this niche item this was targeting.

>>
Steelseries rival is pretty comfy for me
>>
>>55250325
No. Your aim is either good or bad. Neither blame your bad aim on the bad quality of the sensor, nor praise your mouse sensor for improving your aim. It's purely a psychological placebo effect, which is triggered by the idea that if a mouse is worth 60€ it must necessarily have a better sensor than a cheaper mouse. Most of the time, more expensive mouses only differ from cheaper alternatives because they have special features (like thousands of buttons on the side), or they come with "advanced" drivers that lets you taste the "Holy Grail of pro gaming", or simply because they're built with better or fancier materials. Unless the sensor is broken, which is pretty easy to tell, every optical mouse gets the job done as well as a more expenisve mouse.
>>

>>
>>55253298
There's also that a person may have only tried a specific shape of mouse in that price range. Perhaps their first right-handed mouse, even.

Then they mistakenly judge the quality or relevance of the internals based upon the benefits of that peripheral's fit for their hand/s.

The entire premise of >>55253298
and the poster's conclusions are false and it's probably buyer's remorse.

That being said, even if difference between top tier and average sensor quality is exaggerated compared to other factors which affect mouse functionality, perhaps over-valued/prioritised, it's not placebo. This poster also has either not heard of or considered nocebo.

Did you become top pro-gamers after buying a mouse having "a superior sensor"? Also please notice that I said" most of the time" and not "always". There are cases where a more expensive mouse can provide also a better sensor, but for what I saw and experienced the difference between a good sensor and a bad sensor isn't as easy and as huge as most gamers make it seem. I'm sure that most gamers praise the sensors of their mouses simoly because they can't find any other way to justify their expenses.

So you start with ad hominem and then you go on to agree with me and then copy my suggestion of buyer's remorse. This is just disingenuous and unnecessary. You're not even trying.

In my personal experience, the only reason I get better results with my G502 over other mice (besides MMOs because of the limited side buttons) is on account of the shape.

This post's claims>>55253298 are as arbitrary as it tries to pretend the post it's responding to is.

Some equipment is shit. Some is great. Some is technically superior in some ways but other more subjective benefits outweigh the objective benefits. We didn't explicitly disagree upon a single thing until you started with the ad hominem.

You simply didn't need to include my post in your reply.
