Comfy appreciation thread for people who run the Most Powerful GPU of all time. It feel good to be on the winning team.

I still love my 295x2. Old as shit and still super powerful.

no way the 1080 can beat the 295x2. The latter is a dual GPU, it's too powerful. 1080 benchmarks are usually fixed.

Yeah sure pro duo buyers are poorfags, nvidia hasn't even any hbm cards out yet, still using cheap gddr on its "high end" cards. They don't get even async working before 2018. AMD has true high end cards. Nvidia current gen "high end" cant even compete with amd-s last gen cards. When a vega duo card comes out then nvidia will be completely off the train. Nvidia cant even make dual gpu cards, they are completely incompetent.

Honestly I'm not sure why Nvidia never did something like the 990 with two 980's, and a Titan ZX or something.
There obviously is a market to some extent, the fucks who want MATX / ITX and performance.

What about the radeon pro duo?

Bought one last year when the price dropped below 700. Main reason I got one cause my board only had 1 pci-e slot at the time. Hoping is can take advantage of all the duel gpu optimizations they claim dx12 can bring. Water cooling is a nice touch but they probably had no other choice. My gtx480 was hot but this thing pours out heat better than a space heater.
