Is there a single more aesthetically pleasing case than the NZXT H440? On top of that, it offers unparalleled cable management at the expense of an (insignificant) ood drive bay

The ncase should do well, if you know how to work around it.
If you're very worried about airflow and shit, you should get something bigger like a fractal define nano s, phanteks evolv itx and the like, but if you're like me who doesn't give a fuck about overclocking, nothing gets smaller than the sg13.

I always found cube cases a bit awkward. Too wide to put on the table and to short to put on the floor.
>>
>>55215141
The only thing that makes me not like this case is the position of the buttons and ports, I could care less about convenience. They tried so hard to make everything else look symmetrical.
>>
Looking at two cases right now.
Before I go into the cases here is a quick breakdown of my build.

matx mobo + 6700k + 240mm rad + 1 ssd + 1 hdd + 1 optical drive
Can't quite give up the optical drive yet, still use it ever once in a while.

The two cases I am eying are the Enthoo Pro M and the Evolv Matx
asthetically speaking the evolv is much nice, but what bothers me is that on the evolv the only place I could possibly install a rad would be at the front of the case.
Now if the rad is in the front, I have no idea how much length that eats into the max GPU length.
The specs say the max is 318mm, the vast majority of cards we well under 300mm, most are in the 250ish range.
But again, if I install a rad + fans there, how much room will I have left for a graphics card ?
that is my concern.

Obviously the Pro M is much larger and doesn't have the same issue because of the front mounted optical drive, i dunno mang..

what do you mean to "cool it right"? I have pic related. i7-6700k @ 4.6hgz and my 980ti does 1550mhz with 1.3v. CPU doesn't get past 74C while benching with prime95, and the GPU hits max 77C after repeated bench runs in 3dmark. I have all cover in place.

>>
>>55218268
why not ddr4 system? If you're going to buying new anyway, don't buy older standards. Just bite the bullet and get the "latest and greatest" so to speak.
>>55218288
with what cpu/gpu? Phantom isn't a terrible case, just I don't like the way it looks. That and the R5 has the nice sound dampening all over. Plus dust filters everywhere.
>>
>>55218310
Because DDR4 isnt at it's greatest, and 3200mhz ram isnt common, I like to get ram when its pretty high end so 1600mhz or 2133 DDR3 works well.
>>
>>55218295
I was actually going to get that, but I don't like windowed cases. Bad enough my motherboard has "accent lighting", and my video card has a red LED on to tell me I have Liquid nitrogen BIOS engaged.

what do you mean not common? I got a 16GB kit of Corsair LP Vengeance ddr4-3200mhz for $80. ddr3-2400mhz 16GB kit from same place was $65.

And fast ram doesn't guarantee the CPU/motherboard will like it. Technically my motherboard supports DDR4 up to 4000mhz, but my CPU refuses to even post at stock clocks if I set XMP profile to 3200mhz. I can only get 2800mhz.

My i5-4690k before that was picky about RAM too. a DDR3-2400mhz kit could only do 2100mhz, otherwise the CPU would start posting errors in Prime95 and BSOD.
>>
>>55218310
i7 6700k and GTX 970.

I despise the way the Phantom 410 looks to be honest. Only had it because the case was given to me. The H440 is covered in foam as well but I think I might remove the foam from the front and top panels to make more room for air flowing into the system, I might even mod the front panel, not sure yet.
>>
>>55218348
I'll consider a 5820k or something with at least 2666 memory, since the memory controllers on chips seem to like it.
>>
>>55218374
consider the 6820k in it's place. Same socket and roughly the same chip, but original Haswell-e doesn't like faster ram. 99% of the time, people with 5820k, 5930k are running their ram at 2133/2400 mhz.

The new Broadwell-e stuff has stronger memory controllers and I've seen some fully support 3200mhz. Not saying 2666mhz on a 5820k isn't possible. Just not likely.

Also when you open the front cover you can remove the bottom filter which covers the bottom two slots and the PSU slot
>>
>>55222214
Ok get a Define R5 then. If you think you need that shit in current year.
>>
>>55222236

What's a good minimalist micro ATX case without a PSU? I was looking at some Thermalfake Versa, but then this post happened >>55222296
and I remembered why I never bought Thermalfake in the past 5 years

still using mine today :), recently upgraded all my components too.

I need an affordable case with good air cooling capabilities and support for E-ATX boards. I've been looking at the Fractal XL R2 and Phanteks Enthoo Pro, but I'm undecided. other suggestions?

Poland.

>>55221979

Sadly, no Corsair 100R case here either.
>>
>>55223431
what about the coolermaster c300 ? you'll need some dust filters for this one
>>
>>55223534

Only N300 instead.

Is Thermaltake V3 really bad case?
>>
>>55223716
wait, its N300, my bad.

I don't trust thermaltake, some cases build quality is horrible, but if you like the V3 , go for it familia

I know only how much I see at photos.

I dont even know if non-stick cpu cooling, like mentioned Cryorig M9I will fit.

Thats why I keep asking. Out of others I found, at reasonable price (for me), there are:

- NZXT Source 210
- Antec GX500
- Cooler Master Elite 330
- Modecom Tres

Hellload of different cases and all I have are photos - whenever I ask at local forums outside of 4chan, they tell me to get some absurdly expensive case.

So should I get the back or the green one ?

newegg canada has them both on sale, with rebates but the shipping kills it mang.
I could pricematch it at ncix no problem.

>i am thinking about the green one
>>
>>55215096
Honestly though.

I just wish they weren't so hard to turn into regular PC cases. I want one crazy bad but don't feel like putting in the work for it.

The H440 is fucking garbage compared to the R5. I've worked with the H440 a few times and the R4/5 A few times as well. Every time I preferred the Fractal.

Might as well ask here

Anyone have that micro itx build this one guy posted with an ipad as the monitor.

It looked comfy as fuck and I forgot to save the pic.

So I guess just go with the black as its the only option when you consider the acrylic window.

Should I mount the rad at the top or front eventually ?

>front pull in air, use top fans to exhaust it out
>use front fans to pull in cool air, exhaust it out through the rad at the top
>>
>>55232111
You won't notice a difference in temperature either way. Just go with whatever configuration saves you money on fittings and tubing.
Or if beta-male cuck AIO, let that pussy you have instead of a dick decide for you, you woman.

thanks senpai, I will let my vagina decide
too bad it doesn't come in green with the large window..

I always wondered why don't they make cases just a little bit winder to make cable management easier, seems like such an obvious thing that has only been done recently.
