No dude, the 1070 is at 600 dollars the cheapest.
People buy the 400 dollar ones in bulk when they are available.
Its not that much more performance, and the rx 480 performs good at 100 watts 70° under load with "the shitty refference blower" which is better than your throttlechamber thing.
Also the overclocked 480 used 150w and performs a bit better than the 1070.
And we are talking about single card rigs.

I doubt the OC 480 performs BETTER than the 1070, but
1. 1070 will be 350$ in 6 months
2. 379$ MSRP
3. Selling for 450$ for FE
4. cheapest is 420$
5. bad yields means its never available and it gets bought up and sold at like 600$
6. he's right the performance difference isn't too much... 20% and you can make that up with an OC, ofc the 1070 can OC past that...
overall 1070 is not worth it and won't be for 6 months
