>gaming motherboard
what does this mean?

ASUS mobos are good. Gaming is just in the name to attract retarded buyers.
Just make sure you get the highest chipset for your CPU and that's it.
Also, stay away from MSI.

ok ty

Gaming anything is just a marketing term.
It's for 13-year-olds

If you want true quality, get an Asus WS (Workstation) board

Why?

It might shoot you
Just consuming an API and creating a desktop application using JavaFx. Nothing advanced. The transfer of data is through xml.

Don't forget their 2 decade old problem. Their VRMs are cheap shit and blow up
>>55210237
What brand is better?
>>55211522
ASUS and Gigabyte are pretty good

>Their VRMs are cheap shit and blow up
This really is only an issue if you go for their cheaper boards.
MSI was actually praised very highly for their higher end Z170 and X99 boards, they use some very nice chokes, VRMs, and other surface mount components. Far higher quality than similar priced Asus and gigabyte boards even.
Though I do agree MSI has had dubious history, lately at least at the higher end, they seem to be getting their shit together. The stuff they are doing for their on board Audio on their higher end boards is pretty sweet too, nice dedicated OP amps and shit.
It's a buzzword, just like "enterprise", "military" or "minimalistic".
