Looking for a 4k 32" (or bigger if not too expensive, but without sacrifice of quality) for more headroom in photo editing in photo software / more space to use the software on (and can also multitask when not doing critical work).

From the little research I've done, it seems https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/benq-bl3201pt-bl3201ph/ seems to check most of the checkmarks

It's 32", so it has closer to 90-100ppi than 27-28 4k monitors. The monitor apparently has some scaling for 1920x1080, so I could prolly play games with it on that res. The response time and input lag of that monitor seems to be on the better side for a IPS monitor.

What it doesn't have is adobe rgb/10bit, it doesn't have S-VA. But reading this article http://www.color-management-guide.com/how-to-choose-monitor-for-photography.html I got the gist that a IPS is overall better?

Since I play games too, and I don't want monitor to be terrislow (I play fps games like overwatch). This LG 31MU97 monitor https://youtu.be/I4p7b21zUN4?t=62 for instance is pretty slow. I've been told that S-VA has advantage in some black/grey contrasts , but the IPS has overall better colors?

The option for scaling to 1920x1080 is important too, since obv not every game will support 4k res (older games especially?)

Is this benq the right monitor for me? It's sRGB monitor, while some other monitor could be Adobe RGB. But wouldn't a

But wouldn't a Adobe RGB monitor require some good sRGB support too, for games and programs that don't have aRGB? I've noticed some Adobe RGB mons might not have as good sRGB support?

unless you sit very far away from it I don't even know how you'd use such a fuckhuge monitor for fps or any multiplayer game.

>let me just turn my head to check if I still have ammo

I have a 27" 4k monitor and it's the absolute limit for me. next time I'd rather go for a smaller one.

Hmm... I haven't thought about this much. But maybe I could get it to work?

>photog edit + gaming
I call bullshit. Everyone in the man child threads says either video editing or photo editing.
Saged.

What difference does it make how I call it? I use lightroom because I like how I can browse the images very quickly without any lag (even with big catalog), yet with DXO Optics Pro things are very very very slow in every part of the program. For same reason I haven't given Capture One a try, because it too felt slow compared to LR.

What I need with big monitor is the headroom / more area I can play on etc.
