The most frustrating part about American ISPs isn't simply that we get gouged for speed, it's that even when we have it unless you are fortunate enough to live in an area with fiber you get royally shafted on the upstream. Like, I've seen 50/1 and 50/2.5 before and 50/5 is stupidly common with 'high tier' cable.
