Found this Audio Technica At-pl50 for 10 bucks.

Put it on a table. Hooked it up to my receiver. Back then... there were no personal computers.
Not good days. Not good days at all.

Flat level table, vibration isolators if you want, and just hook it up to a good pre-amp then whatever speakers you want, unless you hook it up to a receiver that has a phono input.
I've just got mine hooked up to a same-brand preamp and a large bluetooth speaker with a 3.5 input.
