I sort of get the derision towards, like, 17" ANAL-RAPER 6000 SKULLFUCKER EDITION LAPTOP WITH 64 TERABYTES OF RAM AND FOUR WATER COOLED GTX 1080s IN SLI FOR ONLY THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS bullshit.
But I bought a 15.6" laptop with an i7-6400HQ and a GTX 970m. It has space for storage out the wazoo and it's the perfect middle ground for both gaming at what I consider a decent level, and also more mundane day-to-day usage. I'm not wasting the power that it can provide, but it also does what I need it to on the 'higher' end of things.
It's not a 'gaming' laptop. It's a laptop that is also powerful enough to play games.
But yeah, raging about gaming laptops is way more fun.
