What does /g/ compress their audio with? I was thinking of buying a Neve 2254 and then using a Raspberry Pi as source.

I'm into eurorack, but I can't help you because I don't understand your question. Seperate cases as opposed to what?

Music today is already brickwalled to shit. Now you want to pass that through another compressor? Retard.

KXStudio.

More than 10 different software compressors (and many more plugins) able to be routed through pretty much any audio component in the operating system. This OS should be way more popular than it is.

Holy shit this looks beautiful, and holy shit it is
expansive!

Personally I use a Behringer Tube Composer
T1952, it adds some texture to the compression
I really enjoy when mixing I couldn’t find in any
VST. However, the T-Racks CS plugins emulate
very well high-quality analog effects, but they
use a hell lot of the CPU (compared to regular
simple VSTs). Also, my sound comes out from
my audio interface (an RME Fireface UC) and
goes back in through an inst input.
When mixing voice though, I prefer using the
Nectar2 suite.
Again, for mastering T-Racks CS is really
excellent for this purpose; Ozone 5 does a
decent job (I don’t know about the newer
versions).

If it’s just for listening to music though, it would
just trash the music if it was profersionnaly
made, it should already be mastered, which
means (unless the sound engineer was shit)
it doesn’t need any more compression.
