ublock origin and noscript seems to take care of all explicit advertisements. not sure what to do about native ads yet, i.e. shilling.

i have this script run every week by placing it in m /etc/cron.weekly/ folder.

it basically downloads hosts files then merges them into one file then it removes duplicates.
