My experience so far with women and IT jobs:

>Women often occupy support roles, like secretary
>Women usually learn the minimum amount necessary about the technology involved to do their job
>Female students tend not to gravitate towards programming or electronics classes, usually about 85% are male
>Women take less of an interest in technology outside of their jobs

There's nothing inherently "wrong" with this, as women have fulfilled different roles in our evolutionary history for tens of thousands of years.

The general lack of women in technology jobs is due to multiple factors, some which I believe are social, and others biological.

Karlie's attempt at a max function is incorrect, because for max(6, 6), it returns 5, which is incorrect. The following would have been correct:

int max(int a, int b)
{
if (a < b) {
return b;
}
else {
return a;
}
}

(and yes, there are many other ways to write that that are less verbose).

I think I would deny the "none" part of that.

There are many parts to coding, if you are going to be outputting something then it is quite possible that your code for it will look the same.
If it requires a loop then it is quite likely the loop will look the same.
If it is taking input from the user then that will likely look similar, if not the same (maybe different variable names).

Sure, if you said take a GPS region with NW and SE points and expand the region by 5% then the resulting code would likely be very different between different people, but there are also going to be many cases where the are portions of code that are nearly identical, so the usage of the word "none" is complete bullshit.
