I actually just bought into a z170/i7-6700k setup today. Benching and stress testing my OC as we speak. Got an Asus ROG Ranger for $150 (thanks Mirocenter bundle deal)
What I was looking for in a board before jumping on this one was
>m.2 slot
>USB 3.1/USB C
>at LEAST 6 SATA ports
>Minimum 6+2 VRM section
>able to accept RAM up to 3200mhz minimum
>Last and least important is appearance.
My entire PC is inside a non-windowed R5 case so looks aren't everything. But gigabyte must be out of their minds with their candy cane themed garbage and huge gaudy plastic covers on EVERYTHING. Pic related is my board. Least popular and Asus won't be making a shit ton of them anymore as opposed to their other ROG stuff.
