Why does Spotify's shuffle suck dick so much? I read it was algorithmically designed to suck dick but it seems to be sucking too much dick and the user experience is horrible.

How do you fuck up a shuffle function?

I like the profile it builds off the songs I listen to, it lets me discover bands/artists I never would have found without expending effort.

And there's a lot of cool playlists for things like classical or trance that I may want to listen to sometimes but not enough to add them to a library.

You might want to consider using a media player that plays actual files and scrobbles your listens to last.fm, that way you'd still get the recommendations.
