If you upgrade your bios there should be an option for it. Also the memory controller on your cpu will work with ddr3 and ddr4 independently so you will have 2x dual channel so it will be faster.

DDR4 is back compatible op. 4 simply adds an extra power and data pin. Simply splice off those extra pins and it will perform fine, albeit slower than real ddr4.
