Hey /g/, if I keep my laptop on an incline due to a laptop cooler, is that bad for the hard drive? Is it fine to leave it on that slight incline when turned off?
Thanks in advance.

Never under any circumstances leave your computer on an incline. This can be detrimental to the operations of the hard drive. I recommend you take the laptop cooler back to where you bought it immediately.

Am I being memed or are you serious? Most laptop coolers are made like that. Come to think of it, I did have a hard drive failure with this laptop a while back...
Please don't be bait

not him but the platter needs to be balanced horizontally while spinning or it will put more stress on the motor and make it burn out quick

It's irrelevant.
Whoever it's duly noted that hard drive that the read write head may experience less strain in certain positions depending on the type of hard drive you have.
