My X220 has a 250GB 850 evo.
I think an SSD is by far the best upgrade you can put into a laptop right now.
the only difference i see is in boot times. and even then, its not as fast as people say. on W7 the only speeding up ive felt is after the windows is starting, where i barely have the time to see the welcome screen. the rest still takes the same time.

check out my benchmark in the review section. it is refurbished but i dont really see that as an issue.

Good SSD's have much lower power consumption than HDD's. And regarding laptops, SSD's have 0 vibrations and make 0 noise.
