with flash it was much harder to get to the underlying data. Especially with streamed media, devs could make it really tough to download the files. In HTML5, you can usually download the files really easily.

The porn industry still heavily relies on flash. If we've learned anything about media over the years it's that the porn industry sets the standard. beta vs VHS. Bluray vs HDDVD. And now HTML5 vs Flash. Only difference is since it's not a physical media there's less pressure to just abandon one over the other.
