Is Oneplus the only company that doesn't actively tries to fuck the developer community over?

They just prefer to fuck their customers over with dumb specs like 6GB RAM but only 3000 mAh battery.
The smartphone industry is simply "pick your poison" at this point..

>that camera comparison between the S7 and OP3

How much did he get his dick sucked for being that biased? I mean the OP3 is great, but his comments like "wow! the OP3 killed it!" sound so artificial, and also no low light comparison.

Still, the OP3 looks like a great phone for that price
>>
>>55110155
Who cares as long as the phone lasts a full day, especially with quick charging available? The Oneplus One has a 3100 mAH battery and it was hailed as the God of battery life on its release, and the 3 has a more efficient CPU and an AMOLED screen.
>>
I've been spending so long looking at new phones and deciding which one is best, before I realised my current one is nearly perfect for what I need. I feel like a retard for almost being tricked into the 'buy a new phone every year' meme
>>
>>55110155
>>55110196
This. that "wow it's only 3000 mAh!!" meme needs to die. the reviews already said it lasts though the day easily.

>The 3,000mAh battery in the OnePlus is good enough to keep it going for a full day of heavy use and the aforementioned quick charging features make it easy to top up when needed. Of all the phones I’ve used this year, the only one that does better is the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and that’s only because it has a 20 percent larger battery.

http://www.theverge.com/2016/6/14/11931290/oneplus-3-android-smartphone-review

> Fortunately, the shift hasn't really changed much here. In our standard video rundown test (looping a video with the screen brightness set to 50 percent and WiFi connected), the OnePlus 3 stuck around for nine hours and 56 minutes, or about 50 minutes more than what its predecessor could muster.

https://www.engadget.com/2016/06/14/oneplus-3-review/
>>
>>55110243
Brightness set to 50%? Shameful, if you aren't retarded you'll set all phones to the same intensity in nits. 50% brightness will be different from phone to phone.
>>
Is the Moto E an actual usable phone? I want to get something small and cheap I can use as a beater phone/fitness tracker instead of having to carry my 5.5 inch phone around everywhere, but do I have to spend more than 50 bucks to get something that doesn't suck ass? I would get something like a Z3 compact but it almost costs as much as the Oneplus 3 which is stupid
>>
>>55110243
>I noticed that battery life during the day was quite good - on par with some of the more power efficient smartphones - but that standby time overnight was poor, losing between 12 and 16% of charge while left on silent on a bedside table for seven hours. Most devices lose around 1% of charge per hour.

Doze broken?

>I had absolutely no trouble at all making it through a full day on a single charge, and that remained true even while I was testing the phone for this review and pushing it to its limits far more than a user would on a normal day.

http://bgr.com/2016/06/14/oneplus-3-review-release-date-specs/

>the OnePlus 3 continues to have great battery life just like its predecessor. My average day with the phone, which includes plenty of social networking, dozens of photos, podcast listening, emails and all sorts of typical smartphone uses, left me with about 25% battery after 15 hours. I used the OnePlus 3 just as I would any other phone, with near-max brightness, automatic syncing in every app, full location services and everything else turned on fully — I don't punish the phone, but I don't back off on its capabilities in order to extend battery life.

http://www.androidcentral.com/oneplus-3

tl;dr it's OK stop panicking.

Pretty sure it has a quad-core cpu.
>>

By that reasoning the only reason the 4s good to updated as long as it did was because the hardware can handle it. If that's the case than the SE should be updated for at minimum 5 years since it's the fastest iPhone there is today and will age 10x better than the 4s

Ok I need help choosing a phone.

I live in America, care mostly about having a nice screen, but would like it to not be laggy aswell. My carrier is verizon. Budget $400ish if going up a few bones will get me a substantially better phone though I could be persuaded.

Hopefully getting a new phone today my iPhone 5 dies at 65%, all the buttons are broken, and the screen is coming off. it literally gets worse everyday for the passed week, I don't think she'll live to see another.

Nexus phones are intentionally gimped so they don't compete with proper flagships. That's just how it is, if hardware matters most you don't buy a nexus, if you only care about software you do.

Bought an ASUS Zenfone Go on a recent trip to Asia.

I'm honestly impressed with it, to be specific, what I got with the price. 5" screen (720p), 16GB internal (expandable), 2GB RAM for $130. The build quality is pretty good. She wants me to pick her a new one, I was thinking an LG G4 because my father has a g3 and likes it and she wants a bigger screen than her HTC One had, decent performance, battery etc.

Aiming at a $400 budget or so, G4s seem to run around 350 or so on Amazon/Best Buy/whatnot for her AT&T plan

That's the big question mark. Will it last a 12 hour day of standard usage with more than 50% screen brigthness and wifi on?
Also, you're assuming that one has the possibility to charge the phone on the go. That might not be given, therefore a bigger battery is preferred.
It's not like there wasn't enough space, look at the back of the OP3. They could have avoided the camera bump by filling the space with battery.
Only autists care about <1mm difference in thickness or want a anorexic fagphone.
If Xiaomi can fit a 4000 mAh battery in it's RN3, then why can't OP do the same, batteries don't cost a fortune.

Honor 7, what are your guys opinions?

Also, are there similar phones to it in this price range?
my needs are:
Dual sim
3GB ram
at least 1080 x 1920 display (424 pixel density)
3000 mAh battery or better
decent camera
FM radio
android
at least ~50.000 score on antutu

Every other phone I checked out in this price range has one or more features missing (No dual sim, worse display, camera, etc). I mean, my only beef with the Honor 7 is its low performance when it comes to gaming.
>>
>>55111568
Sounds like you have a broken 5X, mine's working perfectly in every way.
Initially I was afraid the amount of ram would be a bottleneck in term of speed or the amount of apps it keeps open in the background, but it doesn't seem to be a problem at all. Camera opens quickly too.
Only problem I have with it is the soft touch back, I should've picked the black version.

You now what pic related unused screenpart is usually used for?
The keyboard.
>>
>>55115634
I would argue that having a keyboard in landscape mode is far worse than portrait. First, to use the keyboard you would have to turn the phone sideways and secondly you would force whatever you are looking at into landscape which is often not as well developed as portrait, it also kills screen realestate and is often not as well developed for. Also the keyboard on the PRIV is a tried and true blackberry layout.

Much prefer it be portrait.

If you're thinking about one for say an s7 edge then do a search for some issues other have had in regards to leaving the unit on them over night.

It would appear that in these cases the battery overheats and swells, and in the process cracks the glass back and causing cracks on the corners of the edge screen.

Don't know if exynos or crapdragon; don't know if the charger was a fast charger or standard; don't know if it was a cheapo 3rd party charger or official samsung one.

Just be aware that it has, apparently, happened. Never hear much wrong about the s7e, but when I do it makes me more worried than say with other phones.

My dad's been running a note 2 that's been failing recently so I want to upgrade him to a factory unlocked note 4, is there that big of a difference between the SD805 and the Exynos that make it worth it?
We're in the US and he uses AT&T, so I'm trying to figure the difference between the SM-N910C, SM-N910F, and the SM-N910W8.

The SM-N910C and the SM-N910F are about the same price, where as the SM-N910W8 is about $100 more.

Which one should I get?

I want to give him an unlocked phone if in case he switches carriers he can keep the phone without any fees or hassle and he hates the AT&T bloat, so it's easiest thing to do.

Here's the thing that bothers me about hueway: the hardware, say for the p9, seems breddy good.

The camera is nice for a phone (all them manual controls), the screen is nice (on the plus version there's amoled), and the feel in hand and general build seems good.

But their android skin sucks ass and is frustrating to say the least. A custom launcher can alleviate this somewhat, but not totally.

If I could use the p9's hardware but a different rom then I would be pleased.

I figure this is a decent place to bring this up rather than make a thread about it. I currently have an LG G3 and for the most part I love it. Recently I noticed an issue with the camera when taking videos though. For about the first half second the video is a normal light level, but then after that half second it drops in brightness significantly. This is the actual video itself, not just the screen brightness. Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it? My only big issue with the phone right now.
