Just right now, there are users, who installed a server version of Windows for their home PCs to use it daily.
Question: why did you do that? Why exactly Server?

Well, a few years back, there was the deal with Windows Home Server. I believe the licenses were going for like $39, and it would run everything the 'normal' versions of Windows would run. I might have bought it if I hadn't sworn off giving MS any of my money, ever.

NT has supported real SMP in non-server versions since the beginning, though.
And enterprise versions are pretty much bloatware-free as well.
