Because no 3-wide tile view. Clover is the only app that does this NOT based on screen width. Dashchan does, but only with 4 on screen, clover can do 6. Until grid view is at least implemented and then hopefully configurable will I then use overchan.

Google removed it the first time because they claimed it contained unsafe material (NSFW boards)
Floens removed them and made the default boards only the SFW ones.
Google again claimed it was unsafe and removed the app again, and I think Floens didn't care/want to upload it again so he just made it available on F Droid. (At least that's what I know.)

4chans mobile website is actually fairly decent, so that's what i use most of the time.
Loads fast, is responsive, and can even install 4chanX on Firefox
There's a lot less nonsense with the mobile website, If i had a crappy outdated smartphone however, the mobile website would be barely useable

If you want to save power with your AMOLED display you might want to change the theme to BLACK instead of what you have there. If the pixels are not turned on and illuminated they don't draw power, i have noticed a 45 minute or so improvement in my SOT when using clover with black theme when compared to grey or other themes.
That's one advantage of AMOLED, i wish my note 5 would have a stock black theme as well, it would probably significantly increase my battery endurance,
