You have two EVOs listed, get the new model
Why is everything so expensive?
Install Gentoo, not Windows
Go for 16GBs of RAM
Get an 850 evo

My god, everything is so expensive. You could probably get away with a h170 board since you dont have a k series processor. I dont think you can have multiple gpus with h170, you would have to look that up.
Over here in the states corsair 3k cl15 ram is really cheap for the bandwidth, check it out. Wait for 480/470, the 750 is getting old.
>>
First replier here, what is the purpose for the PC? Because you have a locked CPU and an expensive as hell motherboard, originally assumed it was for gaming hence the 16GBs of suggested RAM (turn RAPID on) but the 750ti is 2 generations old and fairly weak

You will be much more happy with a 380 vs 750. Or you could wait for the 480. You could get a h-series mobo, if you only want one gpu, and don't have a k series. It would make that still a bit cheaper now you have a 380.

you don't need 16GB of ram
you don't need an expensive motherboard, go for a h110m

They shut that down months ago. Only option is to find the correct bios online, and flash it to your mobo. Kinda iffy. And no prime95, or other stability issues that may or may not be present in the microcode. i.e. not worth the $3-40 a k series would be extra.

Well I can come up with stupid pictures as well. But you may be right on the mobo. The blck is independent on skylake, that's why you can use high bandwidth memory on it. It's better than haswell-e's shitty memory controller. And you can overclock with an independant blck, it wont fuck so much with everything else in your system, until Intel shut it down.

But OP, dont get that board. It has the "killer" nic, which is a piece of dogshit. Seriously, google it. Go with a z series with an Intel nic. You can always upgrade to a i7, or Kaby Lake, with a z series.

On the ram again, that particular kit is way less expensive than all the others. Its sometimes the same as a 2133 kit. Why not get the better performing kit for the same $$? And if he uses the igpu until he gets his 480 or whatever, the faster speed would be actually useful.

I wont tell how that graph is deceiving, but memory actually does scale on games past 3k. 1-3fps usually. But its is also useful in other shit as well, apart from gayming. That kit (in the us) is as often the same $ as a 2133 kit.

Whatever you do, dont get a killer nic.
Really unimpressed with gigabyte for that reason.
Many models have wifi onboard now, it wont take up a pcie slot also. They have antennas similar to that model, or have detachable wires that screw into the mobo, and a small square antenna about 3"x3" that you can move about.

Not really, I could just as easily go with an mATX board but I feel I will end up going with a mid sized tower anyways.

Lots of things are still up in the air, other than having the cpu in my possession I have no idea what I will be getting.
Other than making room for the 240mm radiator I dont feel i have any other requirements.
I would prefer to be able to fit in the radiator without having to take away bays from inside the case.

The last 4 systems i built (all for other people/family) were all matx builds..space would be tight to have a radiator at the top in the builds I did make

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=2AM-002C-00015

This one would actually fit that H100i cooler provided the hoses are long enough.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=2AM-002C-00007

Offers no real liquid cooling support but has enough space and airflow for air cooling.

I dunno, I`m really intrigued by a cube chassis, but am unfortunately trapped with full ATX boards for the time being.

If you want to go against everything /g/ tells you and get something flashy, I`m really digging the In Win 303 right now.
