There are some things that just need the flash plugin. I reinstalled my PC a week ago (win10, shame on me I know), and now I'm asking myself if I want to install flash this time.
Do you concider it "save enough" if I run updates as soon as they come out? Or is it still too fucked up?

try using chrome or chromium.
they have their own built in flashplayer in a completely sandboxed environment.
its not exactly more safe than the regular flashplayer. however it cant do anything outside the sandbox you dont allow it to do.

Yes, it is a huge risk. I'm telling you that it's very easy to live without flash in 2016, especially now that most people browse on mobile where flash does not exist, most sites have already completely dropped it.
