Currently have an iPhone 5c on T-Mobile in US and looking to go back to Android.

Want something with really good battery life (probably biggest preference), similar sized screen (although I don't care that much), and decent specs. Would prefer something in the $200-300 range.

Moto X Pure, LG G4, or wait for Moto Z/Force?
>>
>>55069296
Moto X Pure
>>
>>55069303
Are the Z's not looking so good? I think they seem pretty decent if not for the use of usb-c, barring any software fuckups
>>
Haven't looked at phones in a few years since having an S4, got an S7 Active yesterday. Did I fuck up? Is there any indication of how long I'll have to wait before having root/removing bloatware/roms/etc?
>>
>>55069296
I would at least wait to see what tomorrow brings with the oneplus 3, unless you absolutely must have an sd card
>>
/spg/, how does Android store music? I've been directly copying music to my phone by dropping it in Nexus 5\Internal storage\Music for a while, but looking at it now all but 12 albums are gone. I can still see and play them from the phone, they just don't show up in Windows. Wat do?
>>
>>55069442

Kind of
Looks nice, but probably way out of my pricerange. Unfortunately the Moto Z's probably will be too, which is why I'm considering the X Pure.
>>

Sick. I heard some conflicting info on how quickly it'll happen. Is there anything that can deal with all this samsung and at&t trash?
>>
>>55069681
At&t i dunno but Samsung bloat can be disabled with package disabler app or something.
>>
>>55069676
I've heard earlier that the OP3 might start at ~$300, same as the moto x pure right now. Seems too good to probably be true though, unless the lowest priced version is gimped in comparison to the rumored specs we've been hearing of.

Guess we'll know soon enough.
>>
>>55069728
Yeah, I picked up a G4 for $220 but it was a Verizon model and I got cucked, so I wanted to swap it out for a phone that was less of a cunt upfront

My current phone is a HTC One X plus and before HTC Magic. Should I get the 10 so far I've been very happy with HTC the only reason I want to get a new phone is because the 3.5 broke and the repair shop fucked up the radio modules and I'm losing connection every few hours. What exactly do you guys use your phones for?
I'm a college student and I get out a decent bit, but even I have a hard time finding practicality in my expensive phone.

Pretty much use Facebook and a game or two that my gf plays with me

I don't know what the product is called but it's a screen protector thing that makes it so the person next to you can't see your phone when it's on.

Especially darkens the screen when viewed at an angle, only you, looking head on, can see what's on your screen.

Did I see this somewhere or imagine it?

Some here. I'm looking to upgrade OnePlus One, it's been a great phone but the main let down is the camera.

>>
>>55077259
I can't justify the OP3's price either. Now i hope they'll make a successor to the OPX. A nice 5" 1080p phone with 4/32GB, SD650, big 3000+ battery and some nice features for <300$ would be great.

Mi5 is a good buy, but imo too pricy for what it offers. It lacks especially in the audio department. Speakers are underwhelming (which i don't mind) and the output via headphone jack is very weak, although with good quality.
If you have easy to power headphones it should be ok.
Should you decide to get the Mi5 make sure that you don't buy the base version, it has an underclocked SD820.
>>
>>55077259
>Oneplus 3

Keep in mind that here, in the UK, the OPO cost £279, so we're looking at just a £30 increase in price; not ideal, but still great for what we're getting.
My main gripes are no sandstone black material (although a case is sold that is made out of this). This is a joint solution to my next problem, which is why sacrifice a larger battery for a camera bump and slightly thinner build?

That would be awesome, A smallish screen with huge battery for under $300 would be amazing.

I never use phone speakers, I'd usually connect via Bluetooth to my UE Boom anyway.

If not the Mi5 then what else? I'm after something with a good camera, up to par with the likes of an Iphone 6, with a better battery then the OPO.

Looks like we're searching for a similar phone.
ZUK Z 2 (Pro), ZTE Axon 7 (mini) or Huawei P9 Lite are interesting choices imo. All offer more or less similar specs and have more or less good value for the money.
But no matter what phone you look at, all of them have one or two flaws that keep you from pulling the trigger on it, kinda irritating.

>Is the headphone jack a real deal breaker?
That's up to you. If you rarely use it as you said and have headphones like the M50X that are easier to power it shouldn't be a problem.

Otherwise different protection type with 10$ tempered glas.

Looking to upgrade from my HTC M8 (USA, AT&T).

I really like the 10, but AT&T isn't offering it - is it really worth the $700 for unlocked version?

Also considering the galaxy S7 edge, if anyone has an opinion on that. It's available for direct upgrade, so a lot cheaper.

>That said, during testing we were able to get the Redmi Note 3 to work on T-Mobile in the U.S. However, 4G was never attainable and even maintaining a reliable HSPA+ signal was near impossible. While the phone would connect to T-Mobile, it seemed to consistently drop in and out of the network. When a call was made, there was nothing overtly wrong with the quality which was fine. But during our testing of this particular handset, the cellular connection was not a reliable one within the U.S. At least not on T-Mobile.

What's the opinion on the UMI Super? Can't find too much about it, save for a guy on youtube saying the battery life is shit (even though it is 4000mAh).
I'm trying to decide between this one and the redmeme, whose miui I don't really like.
>>
>>55080395
just the standard, mostly.
internet and texting with an occasional call. I have a galaxy s4 that can barely last me through an 8 hr work day so any better above the 2600Mah or so it has is a requirement. 1080p and expandable memory for local music.
>>
