I'm planning on getting a 1440p monitor 120 to 144hz and maybe a 1440 x 900 monitor to go vertically beside it. Ill be gaymen and programming on this setup. Now I don't know much about monitors and could really use some help to not fall for any memes.

are you going to be a tryhard or playing in esport leagues for your games? if not you don't necessarily need 144hz, but If you are stick to 1080p @ 144Hz 24“ that's what most pro gamers use and they usually lower their resolution and game settings..gsync is a meme but only because of the price you pay to get it..resolution is all preference top csgo players use 4:3 with black bars or 4:3 stretched, shroud who is one of the top csgo players uses full 1080p 16:9

I am in no way a try hard or esport gamer, I've just heard so much talk about 144hz, 60fps has been perfectly fine for me but I've heard once 144 you can't go back. The main things I want are a 1440p main monitor with a vertical aide monitor that match's the height
