In Windows, start up the bullshit program that came on the mini CD.
At the bottom it will say "fan status: Disconnected" or something similar.
Then plug in the cable which came with the fan to one of your computer's USB ports. It will say "Fan status: connected". If it doesn't then you've got a broken cable.
Having done that, plug the cable into your fan and download your meme creation to it. If an error box pops up at this stage saying "can't do it" then you've got a broken fan.

I got one of these off of ebay about two years ago. The paint is cheap is comes off really easy; I took some alcohol to mine and got rid of it after about a week. The lead sleeve is pretty cheap and falls out as other anons said. It's not a very big deal and just press fits back in to place. The hardness indicator in the top has no method of securing itself to the pencil on mine, so I crammed some orings in there for a better fit and it's been lime that for about a year and a half. The clip is secured pretty well, but can also be removed, as I did with mine, if the clip bothers you while writing. The internals are pretty nice; all metal, even down to the little piece that holds the lead. Overall has a great feel and a nice weight - it feels like solid metal and nothing is rattling around in there. I'm a poor college student, so no money to compare it to a real rotring.

I bought this for my sister with a cheap mouse pad because she is a marvel fan, I wasn't expecting it to be that good although it was a bit surprising.
The mouse itself is built out of plastic as you would expect and the curving of the mouse fits nicely for palm grips and claw, although hybrid doesn't feel too nice without holding the mouse awkwardly. Build quality is alright for the price with the secondary buttons being the downside feeling like springs, whilst the primary buttons feel solid and are barely audible. A real downside is that the DPI button does not do anything (might just have a dud).
For basic web browsing the mouse works fine, the accuracy of the 2000dpi sensor (yes it lies) is fine for any browsing and for any light gaming eg. CSGO to an extent and has Power Saving modes built in disabling the mouse if you don't move it.

I just wanted to let the dust settle after the iPhone shitposter stormed upon /csg/ last week, but now I think it is the right moment to post a small review for a refurbished iPhone 5S I received from AliExpress last month (if for whatever wacky reason you are in the market for such a phone).
The phone is in like new condition, absolutely no signs of tear or wear anywhere to be found, no dents, scratches or anything, it even comes with the original-looking clear stickers that Apple puts on the screen and back of all their brand new iPhones.
The box is a B+ grade copy with very nice printing and finish outside but no smooth sliding to unbox and cheap cardboard looking insides, it comes sealed in clear plastic like new and has a not-so-bad looking info sticker on the back.
The phone as I mentioned earlier looks like new and the casing as far as I can tell is original or at least an exact copy with all the small details intact (perfectly polished chamfered edges, anodized aluminum finish, stainless steel reinforcements around the lighting port and headphone jack, laser cut speaker and microphone holes, etc.) absolutely no rough finishes anywhere, even the laser engraved imei no. on the back of the case matches that of the board inside. The mute switch and volume/lock buttons are also original or very good copies, with slightly chamfered edges, matching color paint and precisely cut to fit the chassis with absolutely no rattling.
The laminated screen is also of excellent quality with no dead or dim pixels, even illumination, smooth glass surface with oleophobic coating and slightly curved edges around the earpiece, precisely cut to fit the plastic frame with no gaps, excess glue or wobbling on either end.
The touch ID sensor works perfectly and neither the sapphire crystal or metal ring has any scratches or signs of wear.

The model they sent to me was a software unlocked 16GB CDMA/A1533 Verizon board and I haven’t had any issues working on LTE AWS Band 4 or 1900/2100 GSM bands.
Now onto the bad stuff:
The battery is acceptable to terrible depending on your usage, I usually get around 7 hours of Wi-Fi browsing and general app usage (no games or video) and around 5 hours on cellular (LTE).
Accessories are C+ tier with the original-looking clear plastic wrapping and come with an also original-looking tray and casing for the “earpods” which I haven’t even bothered to open. On a side note the cable is A+ quality with a nice textured feeling like the original and the iPhone detects it as a certified accessory.
Other small things are: The SIM tray color is slightly off from the rest of the chassis, the iSight camera is very slightly off-centered from the front glass window (although it doesn’t block the camera), there’s a micro residue of blue plastic stuck between the flash and the upper back glass, the manuals are incomplete, cheap looking (including the SIM ejector tool) and don’t include the Apple stickers, the headphone jack is somehow not straight inside making any plug connected sit slightly diagonal.
Processing and shipping time was average (50 days total to Narcoland), packaging was really good with lots of bubble wrap and the seller is your average dear-calling Chink.
Everything for just $190 burgers, I think it is a good deal if you somehow need or (RMS forbid) want to spend < $200 on the last good iPhone.

Well the playing quality is slightly higher but not noticeably so- DACs have been a solved problem for a long time now.
But what makes the clips better is software. The interface, the features, the playback support (The ruizu supports quite a lot but rockbox is much better), equaliser settings, pitch, audio controls, plugins, settings, extras, customisability, fonts, nippon text support...
I've used the ruizu firmware and it's functional, but I can't say I enjoy using it.

Just throwing this out here, but mech mods are completely fine if you know about battery safety. Buy good batteries and don't build unreasonably low resistance coils and there will be absolutely no issues. There's plenty of information online regarding battery safety in relation to this and you shouldn't be scared to purchase a mechanical mod in 2016.
TL;DR mechanical mods are plenty safe. Just do your research beforehand when purchasing batteries.
My recommended (cheap) mechanical mods: Pegasus clones, SMPL clones, Noisy Cricket
Anything made from copper or aluminium is generally pretty good.

bought it for my Raspi, but can't ping it 99% of the time and can't SSH into it 99% of the time. Otherwise it's seen without problems on the raspi and should work without additional drivers.
Made a dispute for full refund with jsut a screenshot of pinging the raspi and it got approved without problems from the seller. ALso, a lot of people in the feedback report it breaking after a month.
Any other recommendations for a mini usb wifi adapter ? This one was recommended by an anon, but let's say it's just bad luck.
