CS is applied mathematics
If you dislike math, gtfo
I'm not going to say you,re wrong,
but a semi-interesting thread died for this.

Fuck off, read the sticky, go /wsr/, kys, go /v/, go /adv/, go and stay go
>>55058988
I know that. We had it on 2nd year. Is that a snooker algorithm?

> Mixing directed and undirected paths in a graph
Is that legal???
>>55058988
redpill me on systems theory versus graph theory
>>55058988
yeah.. no
its not
>>55061506
yes it is, dummy
>>55058988
There's overlap, but "applied math"?
I wouldn't say so.
>>55061327
This pic really makse no sense.
There are two undirected lines between 2 and 3 (c and d), why?
>>55061346
Systems theory and graph theory have almost no common ground. You're comparing oranges and apples.

>There are two undirected lines between 2 and 3 (c and d), why?
Imagine the edges as streets connecting two crossings. There can be two streets of different length starting and ending in the same place.
>>55061327
It's called a mixed graph.

ECE > CS > Pure Math
:^)
I can't even remember shit like integration by parts from high school.
>>55061327
Depends on how you define a graph
Math is a bunch of definitions based on what makes sense, not dogma
>deterministic computing
>mfw
>>55058988
No it's not, it's applied logic
Logic =/= maths
>>55062476
>There's overlap, but "applied math"?
>I wouldn't say so.
Syntax aside, it's ... pretty much just applied combinatorics.
The emphases are slightly different, but that's about it.
>>55063664
There are several branches of logic. Many of the are related to arguing.
Two of them are related to computer science.
Mathematical Logic, which is part of math, and Computational Logic.
The latter is applied Boolean Algebra, which is part of math.
Sit down and shut up.

>/wsr/
I didn't make that thread.
And unlike this thread it was (barely) on the upper third of /g/'s content curve.
>kys
Too busy for that
>/v/
Blegh.
>/adv/
Even slower than /sci/
Speaking of /sci/, that's where this thread belongs.
Yeah but remember that CS is just a small subset of the trade.
My brains not working right noe
